HOW I CAN HELP

Helping build your strategy for your whole family's success

Starting with you, we'll help you to create an achievable pathway to reflect, learn, strengthen and influence, enabling you, 'The Parent', to become 'The Coach'.
Positively Parent your Child with ADHD

The Process...

Using the power of positive psychology and neuroscience to inspire transformational change, my signature programme - LEAPP - which is available through my new parent membership platform, supports parents in overcoming any additional worries, stresses, and frustrations that appear more prevalent when raising children with ADHD.

Prioritising adult wellbeing first, due to its profound mirroring effect on young people, the LEAPP system puts self-care at the foundation of the process, ensuring you access the support you need to be your best self. This first step enhances family relations, dyadic coping, and behaviour management, naturally leveraging the advantages associated with ADHD so, that both you and your child thrive.

The emphasis is on strengths and what is going right, cultivating motivation, resilience, and momentum. With access to a huge toolkit of resources and evidence-based strategies, within y membership, you can learn how to become 'The Coach' during challenging times and empower your child to be autonomous in their decisions, enhancing emotional regulation, promoting positive actions,  and building stronger relationships.

With my extended team, depending on your needs, we can collectively support young people, and teachers, alongside parents to develop shared, consistent, and neuro-affirming approaches to establish sustainable wellbeing initiatives, inside and outside the home environment.

THE FIVE-STEP LEAPP PROCESS

L - Learn: Deconstruct ADHD, debunk myths, and increase your knowledge, so you begin to view challenges more objectively, and encounter less surprises.

E - Energise: Explore self-care practices to regain balance, manage stress and increase resilience, energising and empowering yourself in your parenting journey.

A - Adapt: Create and implement a personalised, evidence-based action plan to embed effective, consistent, strengths-focused strategies and routines.

P - Play: Enjoy employing your new powers of positive influence to enhance self-regulation and dial down heightened emotions, fostering a harmonious environment.

P - Prosper: Share positive connections with your child, family, friends, and our supportive membership community, reinforcing a network of understanding and support.

“ADHD is a gift when you learn to harness its power.”

A Little Bit About Me...

I’m Zeena, a mum of two spirited boys with ADHD and comorbid traits (a complex word for other ‘conditions’ present, such as ASD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ODD, Anxiety, Depression, etc). I totally get that parenting is hard, and I have not been immune to this. To add further complexity, I discovered I had ADHD myself shortly after my sons were diagnosed, after being blissfully unaware my children were any ‘different’. After all, they were thinking, rationalising and behaving not so dissimilar to me!

Professionally, I am a positive psychologist, accredited EMCC leadership coach, and author. With a master’s in applied positive psychology and coaching psychology and currently, in the middle of a doctorate, my passion is empowering individuals to enjoy the personal journey that they are on and to make a meaningful difference.

When I am not working with senior leaders, I am working with educators to create neuro-affirming environments through our sister organisation Positive Education UK & Ireland, alongside helping parents better understand ADHD by sharing empowering evidence-based strategies and ensuring they feel supported, heard, and confidently capable of leading their families beyond surviving and accelerating towards thriving!

Testimonials...

“I can’t thank you enough for giving me back my life!

I hadn’t fully realised the impact I was having on others, but my kids are doing great now in school and Dan and I have rekindled something that we haven’t seen in years, but enough about that!

Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

- ROSIE

Working with Zeena has given me a clear, well-explained and thorough, structured plan that is easy to follow.

You come away with an invaluable, go-to, personalised resource that can be applied to every area of your life with great success and positive, tangible results.

A life-saver! Thank you.

- CHRISTINE

”Thank you for all the work you are doing. The programme has been extremely useful, especially considering what was happening at school with some of the other pupils.

DS has spoken more openly with teachers about how he has been feeling and is gaining confidence in class due to your techniques. Amazing! "
